社团文化活动丰富了大学生的课余生活，营造积极向上的校园文化艺术氛围，为大学生提供展示自我的平台，能够充分展现当代大学生的青春活力。为进一步推进我省高校大学生素质拓展工程，提高广大同学的英语应用水平，我协会现准备开展大学生英语演讲比赛。现将活动方案策划如下：
江苏技术师范学院大学生英语演讲比赛
二十一世纪是高科技迅猛发展的时代，是国际交流更加频繁的时代。英语水平的提高对国际之间的交流起着至关重要的作用。作为二十一世纪的大学生，我们应该责无旁贷，学好自己母语的同时加强英语的锻炼，为我们社会的发展尽一份绵薄之力。所以为了增强同学们运用英语的能力，为广大同学提供一个展现自己舞台。通过参加这次活动，提高同学们英语应用能力，增长自己的演讲能力。丰富我们的生活多样化。通过同学们积极参加活动，可以促进同学们学习动力和熟练运用技能，同时向全学校宣传演讲技巧，更加促进学习英语积极性。

it is a great honor and pleasure to be here on this beautiful Saturday morning to share with you my sentiments about life and passion for the English a year and a half ago, I took part in my very first English Speech I stood before the microphone with all eyes starring directly at me, I could hardly stood there, embarrassed and helpless, struggling in vain for the right thing to fears had paralyzed my passion for English has never changed, I lost my courage to speak in my professor again encouraged me to take part in this Competition, I said ―no.‖ I couldn’t endure yet another painful looked me straight in the eye and said something that pierced my will never forget his words.―Look,‖ he said, ―We all have our fears, and you have could twist your ankle in a basketball game, but then be afraid to ever play away can never dispel your fears, but action winner is not one who never fails，but one who never quits.‖
